Look through the prism
of all you’ve done and seen,
at the way love sparkles.

There is the love

people feel in the heart

for what they have generated
in their life time
and the effect on those
they leave behind.

There is the love
for non-human things:
work , music and art.

There is the love
for our beautiful world,
its nature, plants, and animals.

There is the love
that manifests itself
in a sacrifice for others.

Love is inclusive not exclusive.

Love finds room for the old
the vulnerable, the damaged.

Love will survive
when the tide of hormones
has withdrawn.

Love sustains,
supports and lifts life.
